YOUTH DELEGATES PAY COURTESY CALL ON ZAMBIA’S FIRST PRESIDENT-KENNETH KAUNDA

A delegation of Youth at the ongoing 6th African Youth and Governance Conference (AYGC), led by Mr. Seth Oteng, the Executive Director of Youth Bridge Foundation (conveners of the AYGC) has paid a courtesy call on Kenneth Kaunda, a founding father of Zambia.

The former politician who served as the first President of Zambia from 1964 to 1991 expressed his gratitude at the call. He also recommended the AYGC Secretariat, revealing that the objective of the AYGC initiative- to build a connected African Youth was a dream he and the former president of Ghana Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, and other African founding fathers shared and worked at achieving.

The annual gathering of Africa and Diasporan Youth hosted in Zambia this year started on Monday 4th August and is expected to end on Friday 8th of August. The theme for this year’s conference is “Investing in Africa’s Human Capital for Peace and Development”.
